Who I am

Hello!

Sophie here. I am a vocational and intercultural coach and massage therapist. Below you will get to know my professional and personal pathway.

How did I get here?

Originally from France, I studied different fields such as: international trade, managing people, managing across borders and people and diversity. I got the chance to study in Berlin and in Seoul in addition to France. Then, I moved to Munich in 2013 for a 2 year job. After that experience, I decided to move to Hamburg on a whim and I have settled there since.

After several years working in human resources in international companies, I felt I was missing a connection to the individual so I decided to restructure my professional life and I started training in life coaching. As I find mind and body to be strongly interconnected, I also learnt the massage techniques as a complementary approach to healing, enabling me to combine my passions of meeting and helping people with their life challenges.

In 2018, I got my certificates as a coach, trainer and massage therapist and have been practicing since.

This switch enabled me to reconnect with myself and find my purpose, and I look forward to guiding you in finding your inner peace.

Before that, there is a personal story that led me to what I am today and why I have chosen my current professional activities

I can recall the feelings of frustration, powerlessness and disorientation, especially when I was a child and a teenager. At that age, it is hard to navigate and understand what it is happening with oneself and with the outside world. I knew something was off but I didn’t know how to change the situations I was in, much less how to work on myself, even though I was convinced I had the power within me to do so.

What influenced me a lot to develop my vision about life is the greek phrase from the Delphic Oracle “Know thyself” which invites to self reflection. Who can better know what I need and what I like to be than myself?

What also helped me to get out of the tunnel was my openness to others, and allowing myself to get support from them.

Getting new perspectives helped me to understand and put words to what I was going through. This helped me disassociate my person/essence from the situation I was experiencing, and I stopped identifying myself as the problem I wanted to get rid of. Thanks to this, I got to take a new pathway, closer to myself and who I wanted to be.

I’m currently available for coaching sessions and massages in my office in Hamburg Altona or online via skype/ zoom. If you’d like to get to know me a little better, you can check out:
